Great Weekend!!

We had a pretty amazing weekend. Friday, Ryan's mom and step-father were sealed in the Dallas Temple. We did not get to join them for the sealing but we did join them for the open house on Saturday. They have been married for 15 years and have come a long way through out that time! It truly is an honor to be considered a part of their family. They are a great couple. So congratulations again to Ray and Amy Fudge!!
Today, July 11, 2010 Skyler Marie Miller received her name and blessing into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was blessed by her Papa Ray, Uncle Bill, Uncle Larry, and President Rogers. She was a little shy and overwhelmed to be sitting in front of the whole congregation, but Papa Ray was still able to say a beautiful prayer for her.
Ryan and I are still on hiatus on my health, but we are diligently seeking to find the right way for us to get married and truly start our family.
Thank you again for all of the prayers. We truly appreciate them.

Long Overdue!!!!!

Hey everyone!!
Sorry it has been so long since I have written anything!! I am trying to get Ryan to post things too because he is always getting on me for not keeping up with this like I promised lol
As far as life goes, everything is great!! We are finally as settled as any family ever is. Sky has daycare everyday since Ryan has school and I have work. Ryan is almost done with this semester of Nursing school!! He will be graduating in December!! I cannot believe he is already almost done with this first year of nursing school!! After December he will be able to start work as an LVN while still going to school for his Nurse Practitioner's license. After he starts working we will be able to get family insurance, which means we are one step closer to being able to get married.
I have actually had to put my two weeks in at work due to my unresolved health issues, which is really upsetting for me. I love my job, I love my kids, I am just too exhausted at the end of the day and I still have some chronic lung issues which make me really susceptible to illnesses, and it just isn't fair to my kids or my boss. I hate having to call in sick, but if I don't then I put everyone at risk for bronchitis and pneumonia which just isn't OK. So the 15th will be my last day. :(
Grandpa Preston has given us the opportunity to go to Disney World in August!! We are so excited!! We will be flying out of San Antonio so we will be there for a week or so before we fly out. We will make sure we see everyone while we are there. I know Sky and I were there two weekends ago but we didn't get the chance to see everyone. We were really just there to pick up my car. But I was really sick and slept most of the 36 hours I was there. I apologize to all of those who we didn't get to see though!! We will definitely make up for it in August!
As far as the progress on my health issues go, I am going to a rheumatologist in two weeks to be tested for both Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Those have actually been the two most suggested illnesses these last ten months by every single doctor I have seen, I have just been too scared to learn if I have either one of those diseases!! Either one would explain all of my symptoms. They are both manageable, so that is really good, however, they are both chronic and painful, so that is not quite so good. Anyways, I obviously hope it is neither one but I am definitely ready to have a diagnosis so I can start getting the right help!!
Ryan and I have been trying to keep recent pictures posted up on Facebook for everyone to see, and we will be getting family pictures taken soon as well. Sky is getting so big already it is unreal!! She has grown up so much these last two months, I am constantly amazed by everything she does. We just did a test on her to see where her development level was, and she is at the level of a 6 year old. She can draw designs you tell her to draw, she can hop on one foot (which always cracks me up!!), she is simply amazing!! She sings all of the time, and she know pretty much all the words to everything she sings!!! She won't let me get a video of her singing though, she gets shy sometimes.
OK, I will post more later!!
We love you all!!

2 Finals down, 2 to go!!

I can't believe this semester is already almost over!! Tomorrow I have my last 2 finals then on Tuesday I have an appointment with my new pulmonary disease specialist, and then Friday my love and our Sky Bear will be here!! I am sooooo excited!!
Ryan has something planned for Friday night but won't even give me a hint as to what it is!! My only instructions for the evening: make sure Skyler has a baby sitter, and wear a nice dress. Men!!! The stress is killing me!! Luckily I still have these last finals to keep me busy, not to mention some last minute packing. I swear, packing is a never ending job!! My only relief is knowing that if I do it right, unpacking will be so much easier than if I just threw everything in a box!!
We are trying to get a family dinner set for Saturday evening since we will be leaving Sunday morning. My first Mother's Day and I get to spend it in a moving truck!!
When we get to Tyler things will be crazy busy!!! I need to make an appointment with my admissions counselor at UT Tyler to try to get permission to take one last class, plus there was some sort of screw up with my records. Apparently they have my birthday in wrong which is my default password for all school email. and since I apparently don't know what my birthday is, I can't log on. But the counselor said he could fix all that with me in person.
Other than school we have to prepare our new home!! I am so excited to be there to tuck Skyler in every night and deal with all of her 3 year old temper tantrums. I am so ready to fall asleep with Ryan every night and wake up to make sure everyone gets out the door on time and with every thing they need. I know people think I am crazy and that I might not know what I am getting myself in to; but I promise, I know without a doubt in my mind that this is exactly where I am supposed to be in life. I will be a wife and a mom all at the same time, which make me a little anxious, but I believe if a person isn't anxious to become a parent, then they are not ready to be one!!
Oh we got our new home number for when we get all settled! 903-561-2087
Emails and texts will still be the easiest way to get in touch with us. I ask that all of our family and friends please not get upset if we are unable to respond right away. It will take time to become accustomed to our new arrangements, plus life with a toddler is distracting and you sometimes forget that you meant to answer that txts from 5 hours earlier... lol
I guess my next update will probably be after my amazing date night with the love of my life or after we get all settled in to our new home in Tyler!!

Good News Update :)

I just wanted to start this post out by thanking everyone for all of their prayers and fasting. There is no doubt in my mind that prayer works and y'all have showed once again that when you trust God He will always show you His true path.
I do not have PPH. My new doctors have been amazing!! I spent no fewer than 12 hours in doctors visits, clinical visits, and hospital visits these last 2 weeks. Everything has come back negative. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my heart. My cardiologist believes my original pulmonary disease specialist didn't know what he was doing so she sent me to one she trusts. I see him next Thursday (May 6) and I have complete faith that he will find what is bothering my lungs. I also believe it is something as simple as a severe case of asthma with some infection stuck in there from my original bout of bronchitis. Since I have Raynauds Disease, my blood vessels aren't always as wide as they should be. When I take an inhaler, the medicine doesn't reach the bottom of my lungs due to the capillaries being too small for the medicine to travel through.
I wanted to thank everyone so much for all of the prayers and positive thoughts that have been sent my way! They truly have helped, if with nothing else then just knowing that I have such a large support system who will be with me no matter what life throws my way. That is such a relief to my crazy anxiety. I love all of my family and friends more than words and I can never tell all of you how much I appreciate all of the things that y'all have done for me.
In other new, Ryan and Skyler will be here next Friday!! I am so excited to see them I can barely handle it!! We are packing up the moving truck and moving to Tyler on Sunday. We move in to our new apartment on Monday, and we both start school fairly soon after that. I am takin a break from the first summer session due to the continuing doctor visits, we just want to make sure everything is as it should be so I will atually be flying back and forth between Tyler and San Antonio until my final move sometime in the middle of summer.
I am so excited to start my new life with Ryan and Skyler I can barely contain myself!! I love this man more than anything in my life!! He truly is my other half and he makes life so much less stressful!! Given the chance, I would rather spend any Friday night sitting on the couch with Sky Bear and Ryan watching some lame movie from redbox than going out with friends and living the life of an average 22 year old college student. They are my everything and I am so excited to make our little family official in just a few short weeks!!

My Health Update...

OK, so as some of you may know I have had some issues with my lungs for the past eight months. I went to the doctor last week and he strongly suggested I start being tested for Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. So today I went to my Primary Care Physician and he agreed with the other doctor. So I have an appointment with a cardiologist next week to get an echo of my heart. PPH is really hard to diagnose, in someone my age it is commonly mistaken for asthma and anxiety. I have to make a second appointment with my pulmonary disease specialist so he can run some more pulmonary function tests.
If it is PPH then there is no cure, I will be unable to physically carry a child because the strain on my heart and lungs have a 50% chance of killing me, and I most likely will not be able to run again.
I guess just keep me in your prayers that the doctors are finally able to find out what is wrong with me, but that it isn't PPH. I am slightly freaked out here (OK, maybe a little more than slightly, but luckily finals are keeping me distracted!!) but I have an amazing man in my life who I know will be there for me through it all. I couldn't imagine going through all of this without Ryan by my side. He truly is the love of my life and a Godsend. I can never express how grateful I am for all that he does for me!!
I love you all!! I will update everyone as soon as I learn more.

First attempt at blogging... :)

OK So I have decided to try this whole blogging thing. This is just a quick little post to let people know that this page now exists :)
I hope to update this fairly regularly in order to keep people in the loop as to what is going on in my life! It seems to work fairly well for John and Sara so hopefully I can keep up with it ...
I am moving to Tyler in 5 weeks!! I am so excited to start my new life with Ryan and Sky-Bear!! I have a job waiting for me there, we have an amazing new apartment, and I am already enrolled in school!! Everything is falling in to place so perfectly, it is like it is just meant to be!!
These next 5 weeks are going to be crazy hectic!! I have finals, packing, making sure I see everyone before I leave ... !!
I sent out an email with our new address; however, if you did not receive it please let me know and I will make sure you get it. My cell phone number won't change, and once we get our new house number I will let everyone know what it is. Ryan and I are both doing summer school and he still has nursing clinicals so things will be busy, so I really hope people don't take it personal if we don't return phone calls right away!! It will definitely take some time to get used to our new arrangements and learning to balance everything perfectly!! Txts and e-mails will probably be the best option of getting in touch with us for the first month or so that we are in Tyler.
Anyways, I have to get going, I need to pick up Stac so we can decorate Easter eggs!!
Happy Easter!!
