One Year Anniversary and Other Things...
Wow I am terrible at keeping this thing updated! So much has happened these last few months!
We moved back to San Antonio! I actually miss Tyler a lot more than I thought I would. I miss the people, the weather, my school... mainly just all of it. We are happy to be back in San Antonio, so close to so much family. Matt and Mary moved down here with their precious little Em, which we love! Skyler and Emily act like sisters, not cousins. Man, those girls can argue lol. It is too cute to be upsetting though, I love that Sky has a little sibling. She is convinced that we will be having a baby soon. She is actually already drawing her new baby brother pictures, I think she may know something that Ryan and I don't!
Skyler has had so many firsts! She performed in her first primary program on October 16. It was amazing. I love the primary program, it is one of my favorite events of the year. Plus, Sky was simply amazing. She even spoke her lines into the microphone in front of the entire congregation (for any of you that know how Skyler can give you the stare down for hours before opening up this is kind of a big deal). Ryan and I were so proud! She also just started pre-k. I almost cried when we dropped her off. I cannot believe my baby girl is already almost five :( I want her to be little forever! I am so proud of our little princess though. She is growing up into a beautiful little girl, on the inside and out!
Ryan and I celebrated our first year anniversary and we have a tentative date for our sealing! I cannot believe we have already been married for a year. More importantly, I cannot wait to be sealed to my loving, perfect husband for time and all eternity! I am truly lucky to have married my best friend and I fall in love with him all over every day. With the promise of a temple marriage quickly approaching it helps us keep the importance of our relationship in perspective. I have developed patience with both myself and my loving hubby :) One question I ask myself regularly is "how important is this one instance when it comes to eternity?" It helps me stop and realize how silly I am being about something that, really, doesn't matter.
I'm sorry there are no pictures, Mary has the most recent ones and she is currently in Las Vegas celebrating the sealing of Tyce to his perfect parents! Congratulations to my beautiful cousin Lisa and her ever-expanding little family!
I love how much I am at peace with my life right now. Things are not perfect, but I am so completely happy with my life and where it is leading. I can see how the church makes my family stronger, I see how it has helped me turn in to the person that I always wanted to be. For the first time in my life I am able to say that I am truly happy. there are no lurking ghosts or unanswered questions. I have been able to put many things behind me and just enjoy being married to the man I love and raising our beautiful daughter together.

Skyler :)

| Our first family photo nearly two years ago! |
I was once told that everyone has one missionary that helps open the door to the Church. My missionary was a blue-eyed blond-hair toddler. She insisted on calling me Mommy from day one, no matter how hard I tried to get her to call me Sara. She knew before Ryan and I did. She chose us to be her parents. We didn’t have much of a say in it :) Luckily, I am also head over heels in love with her Daddy! Looking at her, I knew she deserved the best of me, and I wasn’t at my best. We started going back to church as a family. First every now and then, which progressed to every other week, finally ending with every week plus all sorts of activities and callings throughout the week. Ryan and Skyler gave me the best gifts possible, not only the love of a family but also the love of the Church. For the first time in my life, I can say that I have a testimony in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know without a doubt that Joseph Smith restored the gospel to this earth and that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet today. I am grateful for all that I have been through in my life, because had I not faced the trials that I did, I would not have been ready to become the person I need to be. I know I am still not anywhere near perfect, but everyday Ryan and I are becoming closer at reaching our goal of being sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Our Chaotic Week
Ryan had a lumbar injection on Monday so they gave him medicine to kick the pain. The surgery was in Dallas, which is two hours away from Tyler. He was fine for the first thirty minutes of the drive, but then the meds really started kicking in. He agreed to have three more babies, and we even named them :) of course, he denies it now. The names are really cute though, two boys and one girl. Tristan Alexander, Jackson Andrew, and Nevaeh Star. We have been looking into houses lately, we are ready to expand our family (for clarity, we are not pregnant, or trying to get pregnant any time soon!!) We are not sure we want to stay in Tyler though, it is too far from both of our families.
Skyler has been so cute this week! She has been having some major emotional meltdowns so we have been trying to spend extra quality time with her to help. It is sometimes easy for me to forget how much this little girl has already been through in her short life. This week she has made a vegetable tray with dip, Rice Krispy Treats, and homemade pizza!
She was also unfortunate enough to wake up with pink up in both eyes. Luckily it was gone in two days, and it didn't interfere with my finals or Ryan's work! Who knew kids could get sick at such a perfect time?
We are going to try to get family pictures done before the end of the month. We have never had any done! We just need a cute summer time idea :)

SA Trip
We were finally able to go to San Antonio March 11. It was a much needed break! March is a big birthday month for our family, plus we missed Sky's birthday as well as Anya's birthday so we had a massive combined birthday dinner at the Bacon's. It was so nice! I took Stac to get her ears pierced for her 12th birthday :) she loved it! She is so much like me it's crazy!
I love the girl! I think Skyler replaced my mom this trip with Aunt Anya lol. She wouldn't leave her side!! Anya is so great with her!
Skyler got spoiled this trip! We had a Preston Boot Day with Suzanne. Skyler was going to the rodeo with Aunt Joye and could not possibly go without first cowgirl-ing it up!! She got boots, a shirt, a belt with a giant jeweled buckle, and most importantly a purse shaped like a horse!! She was definitely ready for her night at the rodeo!! I only have a picture on my phone right now so I will need to upload one later. She was absolutely ecstatic and adorable!! She loves her Aunt Joye! So much so that I think she would choose to go live with her. However, this may have to do with the fact that Joye gave her nothing but coca-cola and candy for 16 hours :P !!
We had a lunch with gramps, which was so nice!! I miss my gramps! He was a trooper with Skyler waking him up at 5 am every morning! It was too cold to go swimming this trip, but hopefully soon we will get to enjoy the Preston Pool!
We got to hang out with Grandma Millie and Sheila which was great! And I didn't fall asleep on the couch, which never happens!! Sheila somehow ended up with Skyler's favorite baby, Sleepy-T. I think she took her on purpose so we would have to stop by again before we headed out :)
I got to see miss Autumn!! Oh my gosh I miss her!! She definitely teamed up with Ryan trying to get me to move back to SA, which I think we will do eventually. I want to finish school here in Tyler first!
Right now we are looking for a town home or a house to rent for the next two years. Anyways, that is all for tonight
Talk to you soon

5 Month Update!!
OK, so now it has definitely been forever since our last update! We got married on October 21, 2o1o :) It was amazing, not just because I got to marry the love of my life but because I also gained an amazing daughter!
We spent Thanksgiving in Arkansas with Ryan's family, which was so much fun! I realized that I have 2 new nephews, 3 new nieces, and we recently found out that we are expecting 2 more babies in the Miller family!! It was so much fun to get to meet my new family!! Skyler had a blast with all her cousins, I don't think I saw her the whole time we were there! She absolutely loves her cousins!!
Finals came and went, Ryan graduated!!!!! It was perfect! After graduation, we went to Utah for Christmas. Joye, Preston, Megan, and Kallie came as well, and we all stayed with Matt and Mary. John and Sara took off to Texas the same day we left, but they came home for New Years so I did get to see my big brother. Ben and Britny brought the kids out on Christmas day. We met baby David for the first time. I cried. He looks exactly like my father and it was really intense and emotional for me. Unfortunately, that was the only day we got see their family because they all ended up with strep/flu/earaches and whatever else you could possibly imagine.
Speaking of meeting babies for the first time, we finally met Emily!! It's weird to think that was my first time meeting her, because I feel as if I had known her my whole life. She may be 21 years younger than me, but she has been waiting for our family longer than I have been alive. She is absolutely perfect! Plus, she loved me!! Which is always fun :) She is beautiful just like her Mommy, has a gorgeous smile just like her favorite cousin (me :D), and is slightly nerdy just like her Daddy! I couldn't be happier for Matt and Mary. They will always be parents to me, and Emily is so blessed to have them, but I think she already knows that! She definitely has Mommy and Daddy wrapped around her tiny little fingers, but she deserves it :) She has shared her parents with so many others, it is now her turn to be spoiled and loved beyond belief!
Leaving Utah was sad, but not hard lol. I hate the cold!! We had a ton of fun with everyone! My husband almost killed me while we were sledding, I realized that I married a combination of my uncle and my brother lol, and I finally got to take Ryan to see the Salt Lake Temple. It sealed the deal. We are definitely getting sealed there! We are not ready yet, but constantly moving forward.
When I started this new semester, I made it to where I only had class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which means I got to take Sky out of daycare the other 3 days! I now get some quality Mommy/Daughter time that I missed out on for the first 2 1/2 years of her life.
She turned 4 in January! I can't believe it! She is so big and so smart! She is in the 99th percentile for weight and height, and intellectually at the level of a 7 year old. She is amazing!!
Ryan got the perfect job. He is working Neuro ICU and is loving it. The only downside is the hours :( 7pm-7am. It is week two at this new schedule and none of us are fans. I know we will get used to it, but it is definitely really hard right now. I miss my husband!! :(
I think this is enough update for one night lol. the last 5 months squeezed in to one blog. I will try to do better! If Ryan keeps up this new schedule, I may just have some daily updates for everyone!!
Oh, my health seems to be improving. I am still taking an arsenal of pills everyday, but everything seems to be under control. I just spent all of Friday in the hospital getting a full sedation MRI of my head and my neck. My doctor thinks I may have a hole in my spine which causes my inability to feel temperature and pain, which turns out has absolutely nothing to do with Raynaud's. If that is the case, then that explains the lack of homeostasis throughout my entire body. So the severe weight loss I had 2 years ago could be simply because I truly wasn't hungry. My body didn't register that I was in need of food. This could also explain the sudden onset of severe asthma and basically just everything that has been going on for the past 2 1/2 years. The number one test is always Lupus, which I still don't have, however they test me for it about every 3 months to monitor my levels. I feel better, I am no longer sickly skinny, and I can walk (still no running) for extended periods of time without passing out or needing my inhaler, so huge accomplishment there!!
I want to thank everyone for all of your prayers and fasts for me and my family. I truly do appreciate it more than I can express. I am so grateful for the Church in my life and the guidance that it brings.
I love you all and hope to see everyone again soon!!
More updates later!!

Hey Everyone!
Sorry it's been so long since our last update! Life has been crazy!!
Ryan is in his last 8 weeks of nursing school, and the official date for his pinning is December 8, 2010! Our days have been starting way too early and ending much too late!! However, I have no complaints :)
Ryan and I are getting married soon! ( I know I may have said that before, but this time we really have figured out all the little things that need to be finalized in order for that to happen!) Our bishop will marry us as soon as we get our marriage license, and then one year from now we will be sealed in the Salt Lake City temple for all of eternity!Tonight, we had our second year of painting Halloween cookies with icing! They turned out so cute! Hopefully this will be a tradition that is carried on forever!
School has been going great for me! Sometimes, I still wish I had gone through with nursing, but I have truly fallen in love with teaching! Planning lessons, learning new techniques, reading so many great books to use in the classroom ... It truly is an amazing feeling. This semester I was required to take a speech class, which I was terrified of! I have some crazy anxiety at times, and I was afraid my voice was going to shake and all that fun stuff, but it turns out I am actually really good at public speaking! I have given 3 speeches, my lowest grade was an 89 :)
I am taking a children literature class this semester, which requires me to read a minimum of 50 books for a journal that will replace my final, grade levels pre-k though 8, so Sky's and my new favorite activity is hanging out at the library. That girl cracks me up!
Anyways, I am going to go watch a movie with my amazing fiance!!
Hope to update you all again soon!!
